The Journey Begins
over 6 years ago – Fri, Jan 19, 2018 at 12:24:06 AM

Ahoy fellow sea spuds!

Today's update brings some good news - the rewards have begun their maiden voyage to their new homes! They are being dispatched by land from our manufacturer's location towards the fulfillment centre, where they will then complete the rest of their journey to their new owners via air. It should reach the fulfillment centre this weekend or early next week.

2 weeks ago, we went ahead to ship 12 complete sets to the fulfillment centre to test the workflow and they have arrived!

Test packages arrived!

Fancy some bubble-wrapped Potatoes?
Fancy some bubble-wrapped Potatoes?

Once all the card games reach the fulfillment centre, they will be bubble wrapped with 3 to 4 layers like what you see above. For backers who ordered 2 or more decks, we will still wrap them individually so as to ensure that they will reach you in mint condition!

For the keen-eyed backers, you would have noticed that the potatoes are now packed directly into the burlap bag instead of a separate plastic bag. This is because the plastic bag failed the EN-71 CE certification as there is a clause which states that plastic sheets should not be thinner than 0.038mm. Hence, the manufacturer had to transfer the potatoes from the plastic bag into the burlap bag for each and every box.

Alright, back to the fulfillment centre. It will take about 3-5 days to bubble-wrap all the boxes and process them into the inventory. Once that is done, we will submit our backer addresses to the fulfillment centre and they will dispatch these orders (by air) in batches through the various express or postal services (based on the destination country). It will take 2-4 weeks to reach depending on the services used by the fulfillment centre.

Finalize Addresses
As we're going to be dispatching rewards, please ensure the shipping address you've provided in your BackerKit survey is correct and final.

Charging Cards for Add-Ons
For those backers who ordered add-ons, we will be charging cards either this week, or next week, so do take note!

Uncompleted Surveys
As of writing, we currently still have 209 surveys that are uncompleted in BackerKit. Those who have not filled in their surveys, please do so as soon as possible, or we will be unable to send you your rewards.
